Free Jewish Country/Rock ConcertSpearheading one of the latest trends in Jewish music, Laible Ben Moshe’s music is highly diversified and spans the range from country, folk, blues and rock to chazonos in a very original form. Laible is a virtuoso guitarist and the lead vocalist of the Baal T’Shuva Boogie Band, which he founded 15 years ago upon his arrival into Yiddishkeit. Saturday, September 3 Free Nature ToursEnjoy a guided nature walk on the trails throughout the year on the first and third Saturday of every month at the Hoffman Center Nature Preserve and Wildlife Sanctuary, 6000 Northern Blvd., Muttontown (between Route 106 and 107 – just west of Martin Viette Nursery). America’s Poets Walk With WaltThe program, which will be held at the birthplace of America’s Good Gray Poet at 246 Old Walt Whitman Rd., Huntington Station, will be hosted by Whitman Birthplace Writer-in-Residence George Wallace. The program will pair a nationally prominent visiting writer with one of Long Island’s fine regional poets for a program of poetry and conversation. Individual tickets to the series will be on sale in advance, or at the door, for $15 per ticket or $70 for the full series. Yes, that is a bowling alley and yes it was inside the mansion. Awesome. Giacomo and Kim were married a few weeks back at the Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove, CA. I was along again with Tiffany(Green Photography) as the 2nd photographer for the day. I had never even heard of Walnut Grove before and it's kind of out in the middle of nowhere. I had to cross 3 bridges to get there lol. The mansion provided a very elegant setting loaded with ornate detail and hidden rooms full of neat stuff..like bowling alleys.
