Wow, in what has got to be 2011’s biggest week in terms of fragrance, we are quite beside ourselves to hear Karl Lagerfeld is set to launch a woman’s fragrance named (wait for it) Karleidoscope . See what they've done there? Gorgeous Italian model Bianca Balti [below] has been chosen as the face of the scent and is used to the Kaiser's lense after he shot her for the 2011 Pirelli Calendar .And as you can see from this preview, the bottle is engraved with the signature of Karl's and is a real kaleidoscope! What a pleasure.
So what can we expect from the smell in the bottle? We are told that it will be a mixture of passionate purple angelica, freesia, patchouli and tonka bean and is preparing to launch in September. "Karleidoscope reveals not only the diversity of a muse, it reveals the will of every woman," says the designer.

An interviewer commented that the Macy’s collection is a very black and white collection no? “No no, think pink but don’t wear it though,” Lagerfeld replied as he went about his business. I don’t think that quite works, but when you’re Karl Lagerfeld I guess it doesn’t matter.
The is then seen later shooting Rocha, who works it for the camera a lot harder than I’ve seen most models in behind the scenes shoots – no doubt a reason why Lagerfeld enlists Rocha whenever he wants some raw fierceness in his shots. The Candian model comments that it’s “awesome” it is that Lagerfeld is creating a collection for girls would who love designs by the Kaiser, but “don’t have the cash”.
